Our tropical fish store provides expert testing and analysis for freshwater and saltwater aquariums to ensure a healthy and thriving aquatic environment. Proper water quality is one of the most important factors in maintaining a successful freshwater or saltwater aquarium habitat.

We perform standard tests for pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate to ensure your aquarium’s water conditions are ideal. For more specialized needs, we also offer in-depth testing for KH/Alkalinity, Phosphates, Magnesium, and Calcium for a small fee.

Our FREE water testing is available at our Renton store for basic pH, nitrite, nitrate, ammonia, and alkalinity testing. These tests are crucial in ensuring that your aquarium environment is healthy for both your existing fish and any future additions.

Please note, testing is performed on a first-come, first-served basis and is required for our Livestock Guarantee. While we strive to provide quick service, some tests may take time and may not be available during weekends, store events, or sales.

For saltwater aquariums and reef aquariums, we offer more specific, in-depth testing that requires precise and accurate aquarium test kits. These advanced tests can help you diagnose water quality issues specific to your saltwater aquarium. In addition, we charge a small fee ($1.00 per test) for tests like Calcium, Alkalinity/KH, Magnesium, and Phosphates. Even more specialized tests for Iodine, Iron, and Potassium are available for just $2.00 per test.
